Forgiveness Without Access: Four Different Decisions
Forgiveness Without AccessCHAPTER 1 OF 10Four Different Decisions
CHAPTER 1 OF 10

Four Different Decisions

Let's Talk About It

Forgiveness, reconciliation, trust, and access are separate decisions. You may release a wish for revenge without restoring a relationship. Trust concerns evidence; access concerns current participation. Separating these decisions prevents one spiritual or emotional choice from automatically reopening every door.

Guided Activity

Put the Idea to Work

Create four columns and record your current position in each.

Affirmation for this resource

Compassion does not require reopening every door.

Opening Prayer

Lord, help me release what consumes me while keeping wise limits. Guide accountability, compassion, and safe decisions about contact. Amen.

Scripture Reflection

Romans 12:18 (NIV) · Peace includes doing what is within your control; it does not demand unsafe closeness.
