The verification desk

Here is what gets checked.

Official source

Is the listing on the employer’s own career system—not a copied or shortened mystery link?

Still open

Does the application load and still accept applications on the date checked?

Work type

Is it W-2 employment, 1099 contract work, an internship, or an apprenticeship?

Remote reality

Does remote mean anywhere in the United States, selected states, hybrid, or remote after training?

Fine print

What experience, phone work, equipment, location, schedule, or background requirements are disclosed?

Warning signs

Does anyone ask for money, gift cards, equipment payments, private documents, or off-platform messages too early?

Y'all asked, so I went looking
